Dr. Rachel Johnson
Veterinarian
Dr. Rachel Johnson earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from St. George’s University Grenada. She specializes in advanced equine lameness, equine reproduction, orthopedic surgery, and small ruminant general practice. She takes pride in advocating for her patients above all else, committed to her patients always coming first. Outside of her veterinary work, she enjoys spending time at the beach with her fiancé David and 5-month-old Maeve, hiking with her dogs, trying new restaurants, and sunset bike rides. Her beloved pets include two dogs, Teddy an 11-year-old Chesapeake Bay Retriever, and Tout a 4-year-old Grenadian Pothound.
Dr. Madison Roberds
Veterinarian
Since she was a young girl walking among her family’s cattle, Dr. Madison Roberds has dreamed of becoming a food animal veterinarian and serving the hard-working ranchers of South Texas. She recently earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the Texas A&M School of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences and joined the South Texas Veterinary Clinic team. During her time at the VMBS, Dr. Roberds dedicated herself to her studies and participated in student organizations such as Swine Vets and the Texas A&M Student Chapter of the American Association of Bovine Practitioners. A fun fact about her—she grew up raising show pigs for FFA, & shadowing veterinarians at her local clinic. With a special interest in beef cattle, other large animals, and the overall ranching community, Dr. Madison Roberds is eager to serve the South Texas community.
Dr. Samantha Edwards
Veterinarian
Dr. Samantha Edwards earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Having been raised on a small family farm in Ohio, she learned from an early age the values associated with raising and showing livestock. As she grew, she developed her waterfowl operations, eventually supplying games for Ducks Unlimited events. Despite this, her true passion has always resided within the cattle industry. In pursuit of this, she completed an internship with Select Sires Inc., during which she became COBBA artificial insemination certified. During Dr. Edwards’s time in veterinary school, her pursuit to further her abilities took her all across America including Texas, North Dakota, Wyoming, Arizona, and Ohio. Outside of veterinary medicine, she takes further pride in volunteering with FFA and 4-H. As she moves forward in her career, Dr. Edwards seeks to provide the highest quality of care for her patients by using proven practices while also advancing her skills and knowledge as new techniques are developed.
Dr. Jennifer Clark
Veterinarian
Dr. Jennifer Clark earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. She loves performing surgery on all animals and has a special interest in farm animals. She takes pride in giving all her patients the best care and treating every animal like they’re her own. Outside of her veterinary work, she enjoys spending time outside with her dogs and watching football. A fun fact about Dr. Clark: She did a farm animal internship working with lots of goats and camelids. Her beloved pets include two island dogs, Max and Zero, and her aussie Cutter!
Dr. Larry Moczygemba
Veterinarian
Larry is a San Antonio native, and graduated from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in 1986. He settled in Beeville in 1988, enjoying its proximity to his family ranch, coastal fishing, and the benefits of being close to San Antonio and Houston. He obtained a master’s degree in beef cattle production medicine/epidemiology from the University of Nebraska in 2000, and is currently a member of the Academy of Veterinary Consultants (past president), Texas Veterinary Medical Association, and the American Veterinary Medical Association. Larry established South Texas Veterinary Clinic in 1988 with the goal of providing quality medicine in a rural areas for all species. He enjoys the variety of practice offered in a small town setting including medicine and surgery for large and small animals as well as herd work.
Larry and his wife, Jane, have worked together at South Texas Vet Clinic for over 30 years and enjoy the relationships they have established with their clients and staff over the years. When not at work Larry enjoys fishing, hunting, working with his own cattle, and spending time with his family and three grandchildren.
Dr. Jessica Serafine
Veterinarian
Dr. Serafine was born and raised in Southern California. She attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine on the island of St. Kitts for vet school and her clinical year at the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana. She spent her first 3 years of practice at a mixed animal rural clinic in Haskell, Texas before moving to South Texas to join the STVC team in 2019. She has a special interest in dentistry and is a member of both the Texas Veterinary Medical Association and the American Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Serafine and her husband are currently living nearby in a house they renovated together. On their off time, they enjoy shooting bows, pistols, and rifles as well as hanging out with their three dogs, Blue, Tai, and Trip.

Gina H.
Small Animal Technician
Gina has been a part of the STVC team for 4 years. She is from Refugio, Texas, and has continued her education in nursing at Del Mar College. She particularly likes to care for animals while hospitalized at the clinic during treatment or following surgery. In her free time, Gina enjoys roller skating and reading.
Margaret D.
Small Animal Technician
Margaret is a graduate of SulRoss State University and has been working at South Texas Vet Clinic since 2020. She loves working beside the doctors in helping to bring people’s pets back to health whether it’s through surgery or time and medicine. While in West Texas Margaret spent time as a hunting guide and she continues to enjoy the outdoors hiking, camping, or hunting & fishing.
Kyle S.
Large Animal Technician
Kyle is from Skidmore, Texas, and has worked at South Texas Vet Clinic since 2009. He is an invaluable part of our team! He grew up enjoying and working on his family ranch and still helps out there. He loves working with cattle and riding horses. Some of his other hobbies include fishing and hunting.
Juliana G.
Small Animal Technician
Juliana has been part of our team for one year. She is a graduate of Goliad High School and worked with show animals throughout her school years. She is currently enrolled and working toward her Veterinary Technician License. Juliana prides herself on making sure that all her patients are taken care of and trying to provide them with the best environment possible so they can be happy and healthy. When not working, she likes helping and teaching kids with show animals and spending time with her family and friends.

Kennel Assistant
Julie has been working in the veterinary field off and on for about 12 years. She attended Beeville and Beeville ISD. What she enjoys about working at South Texas Veterinary Clinic is having the opportunity to spend time with dogs, walking them and getting to know their personality as if they were her own. In her free time, she enjoys antique shopping even if it’s just to look at the way things used to work and how cool things were made to even resale them. She enjoys old things better than anything new.

Tracey is from Benavides, Texas, and worked at South Texas Vet Clinic since 2019. She is currently working on her Veterinary Technician License through Penn Foster. To quote Tracey, “When it comes to veterinary medicine, I love every aspect of what I do! I take pride in treating every patient under my care as if they were my own personal animal.” During her free time, Tracey enjoys roller skating, bowling, reading, and spending time with friends and family.

Kennel Assistant
Cailean is from Austin, TX, and is currently taking classes at Del Mar College. This is her first job in the veterinary profession. Animals have always been her passion, and she is excited to finally work with them! She loves seeing all the different animals that come to the clinic and spending time with them. In her free time, she loves being outdoors—she’s been to all the caverns in Texas! She also enjoys gardening, paddle boarding and reading.

Adam is from Skidmore, TX and began working for STVC in 2022. He enjoys the work environment and variety at STVC, and likes that he can build on his existing knowledge as he learn new things. In his spare time, Adam enjoys taking care of his dog, watching movies, playing video games, working in the yard, and staying busy with the day-to-day tasks!

Stephanie is from Victoria, Texas, and has been in the field for 10 years. She currently is a Customer Service Representative Lead here at South Texas Veterinary Clinic. Stephanie’s favorite part about working at the clinic is building relationships with clients and getting to see all of their furry friends. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with dogs, sewing, reading, and spending time at the beach.

Roxanna is from Guayama, Puerto Rico, and moved to Skidmore in 2007. She worked as a vet tech at South Texas Vet Clinic for three years before taking a break to be with her family. She is enjoying being back and loves working with animals, especially cats! In her free time, Roxanna loves to work in her garden, bake, and travel.

Tiffany is from Goliad, TX, and began working with South Texas Vet Clinic in March 2023. While working at South Texas, she has enjoyed meeting new people and learning new things. Hospital Manager
Sonya has been part of our clinic family for so long that she can’t even remember! About 21 years! Sonya has recently taken on the role as HM. As the front office manager for almost the whole time, Sonya has grown with our clinic and takes pride in making our clients feel welcome. Through our smiles and attitudes, her goal is to have every customer leave with a positive first and last impression. She strives to be sure all clients are well taken care of. Sonya is a wife, mom, and fur mom ☺Her free time is spent working out, baking, and running back and forth to sports and school events and everything else in between.
